Intelligent charging infrastructure from a single source

Using ABL's intelligent charging infrastructure solutions, company vehicles as well as employee and visitor EVs can be charged on the premises. All charging procedures are captured by the emonvia backend, and the resulting costs are allocated automatically.
At the same time, load management ensures that your company grid is not overloaded and costly peak loads are avoided.
For company vehicles that are also being charged at home, we recommend the eMH2 Wallbox. It captures the amount of power consumed when charging and automatically credits it to the employee as part of payroll administration.

Which Wallbox is the right one?

A few steps to your product recommendation

Number of parking spaces?

How many EV parking spaces do you need?

Charging cable

Would you like a charging station with charging cable or charging socket?

Charging cable type 2
charging socket

The cars of the manufacturers VW, Mercedes, BMW, Tesla, Opel use a plug type 2. If you have decided for an Asian vehicle, we recommend the purchase of a Wallbox with charging socket type 2, to which you can connect your vehicle with the help of an adapter cable (type 2 - type 1).

What you need to know first.

Private connection

It is important to know when choosing the right charging station:"How much current is available?"
This will help you choose the optimum charging performance for your charging statio.

The charging station

There are charging stations with different charging performances. In order to be able to charge in a future-oriented way, we always recommend a charging capacity of 11 kW. This gives you a perfect balance between the house’connection’power’ and a future’oriented preparation’for’the new generation of electric vehicles.

The electric vehicle

Not only the available current of your house is of importance! The capacity of your electric vehicle also plays an important role in the selection of your charging station.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I do in an underground car park if no communication can be established to a backend?

Here it is possible to use an external control unit, which replaces the Controller Wallbox at the same time. Consisting of an LTE module and the SBC, this component is installed in a location with sufficient reception. With the aid of this component, load management can also be operated in the form of a controller-extender system and up to 16 charging points (excluding extenders) can be integrated.

Charging the private EV on the company premises. What requirements must a company meet? In view of the fact that the tax exemption only applies until 2020, must the electricity supplied to employees be recorded separately?

A basic distinction must be made between the employee and the visitor. By 2020, companies may give their employees the electricity used for charging. The electricity consumption for charging visitors EV´s must already be recorded and billed today. We therefore recommend that our customers purchase billable wallboxes, as it is expected that the electricity consumption for charging employees will also have to be recorded and billed from 2020.

Why is there also a tariff for 0 kW at public charging stations?

When a charging process is completed at a charging station that is subject to a charge, no more electricity flows (0 kW). However, a parking fee will still be charged, as other electric vehicles will not be able to charge at this charging station.

What is a controller-extender system?

In a controller-extender configuration, several charging points are connected in series. One charging station acts as the controller. The communication controller (Single Board Computer short SBC) for controlling all charging points is integrated in the controller charging station. In addition, the connection to the backend runs via the controller. Within the system, load management can be operated with a specified maximum current so that exceeding the maximum current is prevented. Optionally, the consumption of an entire building can be measured and the charging infrastructure adapted.

Which backend supports my charging station?

Every hardware manufacturer can offer different backend operators that are compatible with its charging stations. ABL offers the possibility to integrate almost any backend.
