The mounting plate with selector switch for PV charging or mains charging is available as a new accessory for the ABL Wallbox eMH1 since 01.02.2022. This accessory is ideal for homeowners with a PV system or other renewable energy generation system. PVEMH10 enables an increase in self-consumption of the PV system and can be retrofitted as an upgrade for the Wallbox eMH1 at any time.
A coupling relay included in the scope of delivery is installed in the Wallbox eMH1 and connected to the inverter. The mounting plate with selector switch for PV connection is suitable for all inverters with control output. It is easy to install and a cost-efficient solution. It complements the existing range of mounting plates for the Wallbox eMH1: mounting plate with cable holder and mounting plate with cable holder and key switch.
The control output of the inverter is connected to the potential-free contact EN1 of the Wallbox eMH1 via a coupling relay and the new mounting plate.
The installer sets a PV power value in the inverter that corresponds to the size of the (PV) system and the needs of the users. When the set power value is reached, the control output of the inverter releases the charging process. The vehicle then charges with a fixed charging current, e.g. 16 amps.
All inverters with a control output are compatible with this solution. The mounting plate allows selection between PV charging (ECO) and mains charging (GRID).
If the selector switch is in the ECO position, the charging process is controlled by the inverter to optimise self-consumption.
If the selector switch is set to the GRID position, the charging process is started independently of the available PV power.
